Company Overview
Founded in 2025 by Serge Nshimiyimana, Urban Home Designers Group Ltd is a multidisciplinary design and construction company redefining what it means to create a home in Rwanda and beyond.
What began as a personal journey of craftsmanship — hand-making furniture, exploring materials, and refining interiors — has evolved into a full-service company offering construction, interior design, finishing, and renovation. Today, Urban Home stands at the intersection of creativity and engineering, where modern quality meets timeless craftsmanship. Every project is more than a technical assignment; it is a promise to deliver beauty, precision, and spaces that people truly want to live in.
Our Story
It started with a chair. Then a bed. Then an entire living room set. Before Urban Home was a registered company, it was Serge in a workshop — bending wood, shaping leather, crafting foam, and paying attention to details most people never notice but always feel. These early years taught him that design is not about objects alone, but about people: how they sit, rest, gather, and live.
From there, Serge moved into interior design — not just placing furniture in rooms, but creating harmony between walls, light, texture, and color. This progression opened the door to high-end finishing: the art of transforming raw construction into polished spaces, ready for life. Eventually, he began to see the entire picture: homes built from the foundation up, delivered to families ready to begin new chapters.
And so, in 2025, Urban Home Designers Group Ltd was born. Today, Urban Home is not just a company, but a continuation of that journey — one that began with hand-crafted furniture and now shapes entire living environments.
